This one had a lot going on - multiple structures, a lakeside setting, and a homeowner who wanted the whole package done right. We installed standing seam metal roofing across the property, and the aerial shots really tell the story. Tight seams, consistent panel alignment, and clean ridge lines from one end to the other.
The details are what set this job apart. We finished the gables with roll-bent flared edges, which gives the roofline a sharp, intentional look instead of that flat, generic cut-off you see on a lot of metal roofs. The drip edge was hemmed for a clean termination point, and every trim wrap was fabricated to fit the structure - not just bent and called good enough.
Beyond the roof itself, we paired the standing seam with Hardie shake accents, new windows, and updated soffit and fascia throughout. When you do metal roofing at this level, the trim work has to match. Sloppy fascia or loose soffit panels undermine the whole installation. We treat the perimeter details the same way we treat the panels - with intention.
A property like this - sitting near the water, surrounded by trees - takes a beating from the elements year-round. Standing seam metal is the right call for that kind of exposure. No exposed fasteners means fewer penetration points for moisture. The panels shed water and debris efficiently, and the system as a whole is built to outlast just about anything else you could put up there.
Whether it's a single structure or a multi-building property, the approach is the same. Do the installation correctly, handle the custom details properly, and leave the site looking like the work was planned from the start - not figured out along the way.
