Here's what a full exterior upgrade actually looks like from start to finish. We had a dated garage - worn shingles, faded siding, and trim that had seen better days. The kind of place you walk past every day and just stop really seeing it. The bones were fine. It just needed a serious refresh.

The biggest change was pulling off the old shingles and putting down a standing seam metal roof. That's not a small decision, and it shouldn't be. Standing seam is a completely different category from asphalt - no exposed fasteners, cleaner panel-to-panel seams, and a lifespan that leaves shingles in the dust. It handles snow, rain, and wind in a way that asphalt simply can't match long-term.

We didn't stop at the roof, though. The siding got updated with shake accents to add some texture and character, and fresh windows were brought in to replace the old ones. New wraps and trim finished the edges off cleanly. Then everything got tied together with a coat of paint that makes the whole thing feel intentional instead of pieced together over time.

The result is a garage that actually looks like it belongs with the property - not an afterthought. That deep red exterior paired with the dark standing seam metal roof is sharp. It's cohesive. And more importantly, it's built to hold up for decades without the maintenance headaches that come with shingles and aging wood accents.

This is the kind of work we love doing because the difference is hard to miss. One structure, fully thought through from the roofline down. No shortcuts, no half-measures. Just a clean, durable exterior that doesn't need to be touched again for a long time.
